Shelley Helzerman Houser earned a bachelor’s degree in chemistry from the University of Southern Indiana, where she graduated as the top chemistry student in her class in 1991. She works as an industrial chemist consultant in the Evansville, Indiana area, developing and overseeing production of specialty chemical blends for several area industries.
Shelley is also a musician for God’s glory. Starting piano lessons at age 7, she served as pianist for her first church service at age 13. Since 1995 she has served as the music director at the Seventh-day Adventist Church of Newburgh, Indiana, where she also writes arrangements for and plays flute in their orchestra.
Shelley enjoys canning, learning foreign languages, and playing a variety of instruments. She and her husband Bill are also developing a Bible memory curriculum.
