With over 400 published instrumental and choral compositions and arrangements, Arthur Frackenpohl's music has been performed throughout the United States, as well as Canada, Europe, Australia, and Japan. Born in 1924 in Irvington, New Jersey, Mr. Frackenpohl received degrees from the Eastman School of Music and McGill University. He has studied composition with Bernard Rogers at the Eastman School of Music, Darius Milhaud at Tanglewood, and Nadia Boulanger at Fountainebleau.

Mr. Frackenpohl is professor emeritus at the Crane School of Music, State University of New York at Potsdam, where from 1949 - 1985 he taught composition, orchestration, theory, piano, and class piano. Mr. Frackenpohl has received numerous awards, including First Prize in Composition at Fountainebleau, a Ford Foundation grant, several fellowships from the SUNY Research Foundation, annual ASCAP awards, and the SUNY Chancellor's Award for Excellence in Teaching.
