Teaching the World to Play!
César Avilés is a violinist, composer, conductor and teacher. He holds a master’s degree in violin performance from the University of New Mexico and a bachelor’s degree from the Conservatory of Puerto Rico. After his performance degrees, he studied film scoring at the Berklee College of Music. His concert compositions have been performed in North and South America as well as in Europe. As an active orchestral violinist, Avilés has performed throughout the world in venues such as Carnegie Hall, Kennedy Center, Teatro del Lago, and the Shanghai Concert Hall. He also enjoys recording eclectic styles of music. Currently, Avilés teaches violin and string orchestra at the Musikschule in Düren, Germany. He lives near Cologne with his wife and two kids.
