Teaching the World to Play!
Mary Sallee resides in Norman, Oklahoma where she wears many hats as a musician. She holds degrees in piano and voice as well as a masters in piano pedagogy, all from the University of Oklahoma. Mary composes vocal and choral works in addition to pieces for students in her piano studio, where she has taught since 1988.
Mary stays busy as a dinner/jazz pianist, collaborative pianist, church pianist, singer and conductor.
As an active member of Music Teachers National Association (MTNA), Mary is active as an adjudicator and clinician and enjoys speaking to music teachers across the country about various pedagogical topics as well as her own music. She also chairs several state and local music competitions, festivals and recital series.
As an active Rotarian, Mary has served her morning club as pianist since 1996. She also stays busy as a volunteer in her church and community.
