Teaching the World to Play!
Rebecca Pulju received her Bachelor of Arts degree in music at MacAlester College in St. Paul, Minnesota. Her M.M. was achieved at the University of Minnesota. While piano has always been Rebecca’s main focus, she has studied much voice and dance including: ballet, tap, jazz, ballroom and Highland dancing. This background, combined with a joy for teaching, has led Rebecca to become a trained and licensed Kindermusik® instructor. She has owned and operated her own Kindermusik® program for children (newborns to seven years) and their parents since 1994.
As Kindermusik® is a program based on the teaching methods of Zoltan Kodály, Carl Orff and Émile Jacques-Dalcroze, Rebecca pursued training in each of these methods. She now holds three levels of Kodály, three levels of Orff, and one level of Dalcroze from the University of St. Thomas in St. Paul, Minnesota.
Rebecca has had several works previously published under her maiden name, Drake. She enjoys being a composer and lyricist and is very excited to be working with The FJH Music Company.
Rebecca resides in Bloomington, Minnesota with her husband, Jon.
