Stephanie J.
Wilburn began taking piano lessons from her aunt, Janet Wilburn, when
she was 4 years old. She has been composing music since the age of 9.
For the past 5 years, her teacher has been W.T. Skye Garcia.
Stephanie has been a state winner in the National Federation of Music
Clubs Junior Composers Contest for 2 years, a Central Regional
winner, and has competed in the National Finals. In 2001, Stephanie
was the intermediate winner of the Lynn Freeman Olson Competition
Awards. Her winning composition is titled Clowning Around
which has been published by The FJH Music Company.
Ms. Wilburn also
enjoys church youth group activities, ballet, tap, jazz, teaching
swimming lessons, and cross-country running. She attends Latta High
School in Ada, Oklahoma. |
