Anita Brandon has
over 30 years of teaching experience, having been associated with
Western Baptist College, Multnomah Bible College, various public
schools, an international Christian school in Seoul, Korea, and a
multitude of private piano students. For 15 of those years, she used
her musical creativity playing piano, directing choirs, writing and
directing special programs, and coordinating worship services in her
husbands pastoral ministry in churches in Washington, Oregon,
and Idaho.
Brandon received a
bachelors degree from Western Baptist College in Salem, Oregon,
and a masters degree from California State University in San
Jose, with emphasis in piano performance in both. She has continued
to challenge herself in performance and teaching through active
participation in local MTNA chapters. She was instrumental in
establishing and becoming the first president of the North Idaho
chapter where she now resides.
Brandon has spent
many years developing material for teaching very young children the
concepts of music, and is currently researching and developing a
theory of learning styles in music. She also maintains an active
teaching schedule in her private studio, where she continues to
compose and arrange for students.
