The struggle of
the Seven Years War unfolds in this new work that chronicles the
eventual conquest and establishment of Fort Pitt by British Forces in
1758. The opening solemn section gives way to vigilant and driving
exchanges between various instrument groupings in the ensemble. Bold
fanfares from the brass and a flurry of woodwinds bring this work
inspired by the history of Pittsburgh to a fantastic conclusion. Comment
