Claudette Hudelson
1933-2013Claudette Hudelson was an active clinician, and operated a private piano studio in Broken Arrow, Oklahoma. Starting in 1985 she taught classes for area teachers in theory, history, and pedagogy. She was an active adjudicator for OMTA on the state and local levels, the National Guild of Piano Teachers, and the National Federation of Music Clubs, where several of her solo compositions have appeared on their national list.
She served as the state chair the MTNA Composition Competition, having had state winners in both high school and elementary divisions. She earned her Bachelor of Arts in Music degree from Oklahoma Christian University, graduating with top honors, a Master of Music degree in Piano Pedagogy from the University of Oklahoma, and was nationally certified (NCTM) in piano, theory, and piano pedagogy with the MTNA.
In 2010, the Oklahoma Music Teachers Association named her “The Distinguished Teacher of the Year”.
